ooo that time of the year is here, the oscars! am pretty pleased with the results. clint eastwood won best director, HURRAY! hilary swank won best actress and i think she totally deserved it. jamie foxx won best actor (who else?), morgan freeman won best supporting actor and kate blanchett won best supporting actress. congrats to all. X)

onto the fun part - commenting on the fashion at the oscars! [wah i'm so excited can hardly wait haha]ok without further small talk, let us begin.

Penelope Cruz - waaahhh!!! i adore her dress!! the smart girl went oscar de la renta.. n among the nude colours and the sea of blues n blacks of the night, she looked gorgeous! so gorgeous, that she's all forgiven for being tom cruise' ex. [if u didn' know, i dont like tom cruise. eeeeks i so dont like tom cruise. stupid fellow left nicole kidman. he deserves to be stoned.] i.m.o, one of the best dressed of the night. X))

Emmy Rossum - oooo she looks pretty. love the hair, the accessories [can't believe she is only 2 years older than me n she wears Harry Winston jewels... bleah!], n esp. the Ralph Lauren duchesse satin strapless column gown. it looks fantabulous. the deep crimson red.. wahh.. so gorgeous!! [yes i know i'm gushing haha] i just wonder where she got her clutch from. hmmms.

oh speaking of clutches, the whole world is carrying clutches!! drew barrymore, salma hayek, charlize theron, beyonce.. just to name a few. i like catalina sandino moreno's Rickard Shaw clutch. it looks so pretty. not to mention the Tod's clutch that Scarlett Johanssen was carrying. divine.

Catalina Sandino Moreno - she reminds me of Angelina Jolie's dress last yr!! she's in a Roberto Cavalli white gown with antique beading on the bodic, n she reminds me of a greek goddess. ok seriously, who can go wrong with roberto cavalli??

Renee Zellweger - this girl hardly goes wrong. X) this wise woman decided to stick with what looks fab on her and she's in a Carolina Herrera raspberry silk faille strapless gown with ivory tulle details. last yr she was in a white carolina herrera dress, but i think this yr's dress looks better. simply beautiful. the red looks amazing [even tho she looks kinda scary in it hahaha]. yummy yummy.

Gisele Bundchen - this hot lady is in a hand-dyed cream silk crepe Empire gown by John Galliano for Dior couture and ooo she is so definitely sizzling. she's in Dior couture. 'nuff said.

Beyonce - the girl looks amazing! she's in Atelier Versace's black silk velvet strapless "Siren" gown and man she does the dress proud. understated elegance and a truckload full of class. two thumbs - ah what the heck i'll give her both my hands - up for the stunning dress. X)

Salma Hayek - the girl's in Prada and she looks amazing. the dark blue gown hugs her figure in all the right places. the black lace trimmings looks so divine on the dress, she's another one of those best dressed women of the night. X)

others worth mentioning - Sandra Oh in a red Michael Kors number [man this girl does us asian proud with her fab fashion sense. X)] and Gwyneth Paltrow looks stunning in Stella McCartney's dress.

so that's mostly the good looking clothes i've seen on most webbies that post the pics. wherefore art thou fair Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston?? also missing are people like Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie. X( overall, i'd rate this year's Oscars fashion a success. [except for a few weird looking dresses here n there, but ah lets not go into those who looked.. strange. lol]

- this thurs is our next debate with DL. [haha we won FG! total surprise. i was in shock when i heard we won. it was awesome. X)] "It should be made compulsory for Singaporean women to do some form of NS." we're the proposition team. so, once again, if u have any ideas to help me, just IM me. X)

the past few weeks have been bz, to say the least. past coupla days have been fab, cos Pst Ulf is in town! i couldn't go for conference during the week X( but i went for fri n sat services.. which were FAB! pst talked abt calling - how we are called to salvation, we are called to be like Jesus! n honestly it was amazing. X) n in svc 3, baby Dayan was dedicated!! wahh.. the fellow is so handsome.. n he had a faux-mohawk. hahahaha sooo adorable! hee. Dayan means judge in hebrew. i'm sure lil Dayan will grow up to be an awesome person. i think next time i'll give my kid a Hebrew name. it will be so cool! hahaha X))

oh speaking of baby names, my lil cousin will be named Elijah! so happening right!!! elijah is such a solid name. mebbe next time when he prays fire will fall from heaven hahaha.. so excited i'm going to a cousin.. again! lol. my aunt's gonna give birth in a coupla weeks. n i'm so excited to go see the lil boy when he finally comes out. hahaha i think i am more excited than her. i screamed when she let the news out. ran n gave her a big fat hug.. its so exciting..! cant believe my sister is getting married in a yr.. sounds so.. surreal! my sis is only 23 n she's still in uni. but then again, kel n her have an amazing partnership. n he's good to her. i m very happy for her. she's been glowing the past week. [he proposed last monday, n in such a romanic fashion. i dunnoe if i can spill details.. but lets just say there was lotsa rose petals involved. not to mention a poem and a song. kel was bril.] ohmygoodness. it just hit me, my sister will be Daphne Kao. rofl. hahahahahahahaha. n kel will be my bro in law..!!! waahhh!!! cant believe it. i wanna be my jiejie's bridesmaid! OH! I JUST GOT MAJOR NEWS. FANTABULOUS NEWS! WEDDINGBELLS ARE RINGING ONCE AGAIN!!!! hahahahahahahhaa... this is amazing. okok i dunnoe if i can say anything abt this new couple, but i'm definitely on cloud 9. X)) okok i digress.

CNY. ooo so many things happened, cannot imagine blogging them all. i'll try anyway. haha

on tues, i wore my super fab mini skirt to schl n then got caught by ms lam n mrs.. i dunnoe watshername. pengs ar. but oh well i managed to escape them and after that went out with the shps gang. ate at cafe cartel, so my beloved ai pigny pongy and meli and daniel n everybody else. after that headed down to town with aaron to do shopping and i bought myself a pair of shoes from mango. YAYSIE! they look so ultrafan.. their canvas shoes with flower prints. there's definitely pink on the shoe, and i adore it. so bought it on the spot, and sarah ling was a v. happy woman. i am a firm believer of retail therapy. so after the traumatising morning in schl with ms lam n mrs -watshername, it felt good to get a new pair of shoes. oh i must say that i'm a shoe fan. i want to get another pair. this time i want ballet flats! X) at night, my dad cooked up a feast! stuffed myself silly and after that went with my sis n her frens to watch fireworks at esplanade. we headed down to china town after that [it was already 2++] n ohmygoodness it was so chaotic. a million times worse than KL's chinatown. it was so crowded and messy and stuffy and hot and... an eye opener for me. now i know why my parents never ever brought us to chinatown during chinese new yr. it's utter MADNESS. we finally reached home at 5. was so dead tired so crashed once i hit my bed.

wed - bai nian bai nian! went to my auntie's hs in a skirt. wah all my aunties were so amazed. it felt good to see their eyes open so wide. lol. i've come to the conclusion that quality is a mil. times more impt. than quantity. cos i have v. few relatives in singapore, but they r v. generous. so i am now v. prosperous. praise God! oh i also learnt how to plan mahjong! wahh.. v. fun leh! hahahaha. so proud of myself for learning how to play. lol. and like any CNY, the couzies went to catch a midnight show. this yr, we watched million dollar baby n i can now say i am a fan of clint eastwood. he is genius. so wed also reached hm really late. was tired but contented. X)

ok is really late. shall continue another day. my sister is bugging me now. mygoodness. oh well. i think shld savour it cos i only have a yr plus with her. help. ok gtg peeps. more tmr! simply cannot wait to talk abt the fashion collection. X))

today was tiring but very fulfilling, to say the least.

woke up really early to go down for svc, which i.m.h.o was FABULOUS! X) john bevere rocks my socks off. n he really reminds me of pst. phil. which is superbly fantastic.

and so i went to svc 4 & 5. my sweetest cgl n her bf dropped me off to buena vista and i went down to egan's house to help him clean up his kitchen. his kitchen caught fire a few days back and it was still in a mess. so yea a few of us went down to help him clean his kitchen n i cleaned his whole toilet for 2 hrs! 2 whole hours and the toilet was shining. XD so altho i m so exhausted, i feel extremely fulfilled. cos i think us being there for him made his day. which is good lah. i feel blessed to be able to bless. haha. i felt like monica gellar.. scrubbing away like that. lol. there was a great sense of satisfaction when i saw how clean the toilet was. it was like total transformation lor! from black to white, literally. hahaha. X))

next week is gonna be exciting.. I AM GONNA GET MY NEW PHONE! which i.m.h.o, is fantabulous, amazing, wonderful, superb news. XD plus, its chinese new yr! which means i'll be happily collecting ang baos.. and on tuesday i'll be meeting the shps gang again. so exciting. =D i'll try to update faithfully next week. ooo just cannot wait haha.

ok peeps my eyelids are starting to obey gravity and my finger can type no more. i'm dead beat.happy, fulfilled, and extremely tired. my bed calls for me. lol.

i have learned how to do binomial theorem questions. AAAHHH!!! I KNOW HOW TO DO BINOMIAL THEOREM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's how excited i am abt actually comprehending my dreadful a madz. n to think i actually did the WS ms sharm gave out by myself. wah. cant believe it haha. X)) all thanks to mr aw. who actually met me at mac to teach me binomial theorem. n he's actually a good teacher, cos i understood it. which is, i.m.o, AMAZING. so yes, mr aw, i'll be looking for u next time i need help with a madz. X)

anyway. went to TP to see mr lam play volleyball and have lunch with him. was sooo awkward. ohmygoodness, being surrounded by all his volleyball friends was... lets just say thats not how i planned lunch with him to be. so next time we go out, there will be no volleyballers disturbing our peace. which hopefully will be next week, cos i still owe mr lam his birthday present. so lunch was at this canteen where i met jasmine! [jasmine: i love ur hair. sooo jealous. i wish i could do it to my hair without being suspended. X( ok nvm i shall wait till nov then we'll do it together!!! yay!] n well it was such a relief to see her cos man all those volleyballers are really tall. extremely tall. overstretched human beings. n i actually felt so short standing between them. -.- but watching volleyball is enjoyable.. altho i think i'll do much elsser of rushing down.. cos yea the cab fare is killing me. i contribute too much to the Help The Taxi Drivers fund.

sorry sorry sorry - i give a million apologies [yes like daniel, i buy my apologies by the truckload] to all ym blodgers. but sarah ling is truly busy and tired lah. n dont have inspiration to blog. but quite a few things happened last week..

-there was some MAJOR dramarama happening in the ling household. i think i could film a trilogy cos it happened in eh span of three days. one movie for each day. i've even thought of the title for it - Lord Of The Lings. lol.
spastic humour aside, it was an extremely trying few days, in which my sister and i didn't go home to sleep. we camped at a friend's place. which i.m.o is truly dramarama. but everything is resolved now. so i just have to deal with the aftershock of everything. hah.

-my bro went back to aus. i miss him already. sort of. i miss his PS2 TONS. boohoo to the fact i ain't gonna be able to play PS2 for 6 whole months. double boohoo.

-and basically a ton of other stuff which i am not at liberty to discuss. but yea it was mostly funny. did quite alot of nonsense.. lol. sarah's a truly naughty naughty girl..... hahaha.
